    Walnut Street Theater UNFAIR

Over Labor Day weekend The Walnut Street Theatre fired two union stagehands. The company discriminated against a stagehand employee with a disability when it fired him, according to the International Alliance of Stage Employees, (IATSE) Local 8. Further in the same weekend, the company retaliated against a second stagehand employee by discharging him after he called for his Weingarten Rights and asked for a union representative.

    Retaliation and Discrimination is wrong.

Please contact the Walnut Street Theater management via the links below to voice your concerns over their disregard for workers rights and treatment.

Tell them I support stagehands and I do not condone nor support such employee treatment. The IATSE is committed to equality of opportunity and to eliminating all forms of discrimination. We are opposed to unlawful and unfair discrimination and oppression on the grounds of gender (including transgender people), relationship or marital status, race or ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, age, language, background, political or religious beliefs, physical appearance, pregnancy or responsibility for dependents.
