Monday and Tuesday 1/8/24 and 1/9/24 (same class being offered twice) Basic Rigging and Fall Protection at The Union Hall. This course will introduce the equipment and hardware of the rigging department and the responsibilities of a rigger with hands-on demonstrations of knot-tying and assembling points, focusing on how to do so in a safe and proper manner. To attend you must wishlist the day you would like to attend on callsteward.

This counts as 1 of the 7 Required rigging classes to be placed on the Local 8 Rigging List after evaluation.

Rescue and Open Beam Rigging – 1/17/24 & 1/18/24 (same class being offered twice) @ The Liacouras Center. Participants will be rigging from an Open Beam in the celling of the arena, as well as learn the rescue system used at the facility. They will also learn about Lift rigging. To attend you must wishlist the day you would like to attend on callsteward.

This counts as 3 of the 7 Required rigging classes to be placed onto the Local 8 Rigging List after evaluation

The three classes participants will get credited are: 

·       Rigging Rescue

·       Arena Rigging

·       Lift Rigging

Monday and Tuesday 1/8/24 and 1/9/24 (same class being offered twice) We are hosting a Fillmore systems class. This class is going to be going over the systems installed at The Fillmore for lighting and video. Video engineers and lighting console operators would benefit from this class. It is not a console specific class, it is the Fillmore systems and signal flow class.
